Communications Design students are putting their skills into action by participating in A Get the Vote Out Campaign at Pratt Institute located on the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute campus in Utica NY. Student designed posters are currently wrapped around the PrattMWP Student Center.
The purpose of this campaign is to encourage voter turnout. There is no single message, although the intent is a call to action, motivating people to register and turn out to vote. The visuals and the text of the message are nonpartisan—we are supporting the basic democratic premise of citizen participation, not a partisan position on candidates or issues.
The project is in collaboration with AIGA—the professional design association where designs are available free for public download. Good Design Makes Choices Clear is the tag line on each poster.
30 – 40 locally designed posters by PrattMWP students will be on display and HIGH Resolution images are available online here.
